This is my old Nerve Center, in my spacious 2-bedroom apartment at Persimmon Gap out in the middle of nowhere that I loved so much. Lots of hours spent here at that computer, or gazing out that window when a block would occur.
And here's what it looked like at the end of the day yesterday. Two and a half days of packing and moving and cleaning and Bingo! I'm outta here. Sad. It doesn't look nearly as homey, does it?
Well, here we are now, 26 miles away at Panther Junction in my tiny efficiency apartment. This will be the site of my new Nerve Center, as it looked before I began the big move and crammed my 20 pounds of crap into a 5-pound bag. (Metaphorically speaking, of course.)
Welcome to my mayhem! If you think I'm going just a bit crazy right now, you would be absolutely right. I have certain areas that had to be kept clutter free -- this one here at my desk and my living/sleeping area -- but the rest is, as you can see, the pits. Oh, well . . . Putting it all back together will keep me off the streets -- and the trails! -- but not for long. (It took me a half-hour this morning just to locate all the necessary pieces of my uniform so I could go to work this morning. That's gonna change!)
